Special education or Behavioral education is the practice of educating students with special needs in a way that addresses their individual differences and needs. Ideally, this process involves the individually planned and systematically monitored arrangement of teaching procedures, adapted equipment and materials, accessible settings. These interventions are designed to help learners with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in school and their community, than may be available if the student were only given access to a typical classroom education. Our Special education classes have Level Systems!
Level I/1- Stay in your class all day, Eat lunch in your class all day.
Level II/2- Read, Color or Draw at your desk quietly.
Level III/3- May ask permission to take walks outside the classroom by yourself or with a staff, And get special lunch.
Level IIII/4- Get special lunch, Go on special field trips, and go outside the building with a staff.
Level IIIII/5- Level 5, Local Education Advisor (LEA), Special Education/Behavioral Teacher and Superintendent will go for a conference meeting to see if this student is ready to return to Public Classrooms.
Special Education/Behavioral Class will each have two teaching staff in your class at all times,
Special Education Class- Special Education Teacher, Special Education Teaching Assistant
Behavioral Education Class- Behavioral Education Teacher, Behavioral Classroom Specialist..
